XIII, Northeast Fishery Sector Inc. (Sector 13) is a non-profit membership organization that was established in May 2010. Membership is comprised of fishermen from Massachusetts south to North Carolina. The members of Sector 13 operate under strict federal regulations and self imposed rules and regulations. The sector has 54 registered federal permits with boats ranging in size from 40’ to 100’. They primarily fish using trawl gear for cod, haddock, flounders, fluke, squid, and whitting-regulated species-on Georges Bank and in Southern New England waters.
